MONTESSORI TRAINING UK
The Maria Montessori Institute runs under the auspices of the Maria Montessori Training Organisation, an educational charity. It is the international training centre in Britain of the AMI.

Set up by Mario Montessori, the son of Maria Montessori, MMI has offered courses in London for forty years. In that time thousands of students have come from all over the world to do their training there. As an AMI course, standards are high and the Diploma is known and accepted all over the world.
AMI Diploma Course
Offered on a one-year, full time basis, or two years, part-time (two evenings per week and every other Saturday).Diploma courses start each September.
AMI Certificate Course
A shorter, part-time evening course held each year in the spring term. For those who would like to know how to assist in a Montessori setting, also for parents and those who wish to know more about Montessori in a structured way.
Alumni Meetings
MMI looks after its Alumni. MMI graduates may span the globe but there are many who live and work in the UK. For these, and for any other AMI Diploma Holders able to come, the MMI holds a study day each term for ongoing professional development.
Refresher Course
In the summer term MMI Alumni have the opportunity for an in-depth look at a particular area during a two-day Refresher Course. Subjects have included Mathematics, Music, Practical Life and Language. All MMI Alumni are welcome, whether currently working with children or not.
Workshops For All
Each June MMI holds workshops on various topics for teachers, parents, students, and anyone who is working with children. Topics are varied, ranging from First Aid to Drama, Handwriting to Autism.
